About the Event
Runs from May 1-May 21st.Â
Most of us consume too much sugar, much of it hidden. Consequently many of us are addicted to sugar without even realizing it. We want to help you reset your sugar balance, to bring you into a place of better health.Â
Quiting sugar should be simple, right?Â
Once you know where it's hiding, it is. But simple isn't the same as easy. Changing our habits takes focused effort and support from our community, our friends and loved ones. This Simple Sugar Cleanse is not a diet or a weight loss program. It is a way to take a break from the sugars that are unhealthy for us, to learn to identify where they are in our diets, and to have a chance to feel what it's like to live without them--all while being guided by a coach and supported by friends.Â
The program starts on October 25th and runs through Novermber 14th. Each day you will receive in your email encouragement and bite-sized morsels of digestible information. You will also receive daily suggestions that you can use to create something your own, something geared toward your unique needs and preferences. Our aim is to help build your plate and delight your palate with wholesome foods you'll love.
During the 10-Day Cleanse from November 1-10th, you'll be asked to do your best to avoid any foods that come in a box, package or can, or that have a label; and to eat real, whole, fresh food morning, day and night. Yes, this includes avoiding sugar, caffeine alcohol, wheat, and dairy. Simple, but not easy! This requires some planning and that is what we'll focus on during the first week.Â
During this process you may succeed in avoiding some things but not others. Don't worry. We understand. Your successes, big or small, will have a positive impact and help guide you toward greater understading and control over your sugar cravings. At the end of this process you may decide to kick your sugar habit for good. But whether you reduce or fully abstain going forward, we're confident you'll be more knowledgable and better able to recognize and shoot down the arrows of craving. With continued effort the arrows of craving will come at you less often and with less ferocity, and as you gain victory over them you'll gain more energy, lose the brain fog, and enjoy better sleep.Â
This is an invitation to better health and vitality.Â
