True Line Fitness is looking forward to starting the Simple Sugar Cleanse with Nike Loomis on October 25th. This cleanse involves three phases, a 6-day prep, 10-day cleanse, 4-day rebalance.
We all have fears and doubts when embarking on a new experience. Still not sure if this is the right cleanse or the right time for you? This week we share our own personal thoughts on aspects we are excited and nervous about for this simple sugar cleanse. We hope our candid comments will inspire you to join us.
Jake and I are looking forward to doing this simple sugar cleanse with Nike. For about the last seven years both of us are dairy and gluten free and do not eat processed food and we are both much healthier due to the changes we have made. I believe that we can never learn too much how what we eat affects us! The goal is to feel good and not let what we eat limit our brain power, ability to move and our energy levels! Hope you can join us for this cleanse!
My husband and I did the cleanse with Nike in the spring of 2021. Even though we weren’t 100% compliant with the plan, we did make many small changes in the right direction. In the process my husband lost 16 pounds and I lost 4. We slept better, looked better and had more energy. Several of our friends joined us on this journey. It was fun to connect with them for support and some good laughs (a couple of us botched our first attempts at making almond flour spiced pumpkin donuts, and we’ve got the photos to prove it!). In the intervening months we’ve maintained many of the changes and have not regained the weight but rather plateaued. We’re hoping to take it up a notch this time. We’re looking forward to the results and some laughs along the way.
Eating clean can be a challenge for me. But I have recently enacted a policy when grocery shopping that 80% of the foods in the cart must be natural foods- fruits, veggies, fresh meat- not packaged products. I am looking forward to cooking more roasted vegetables throughout this cleanse (I am a terrible cook but can add olive oil to anything). Personally, I am very hesitant to eliminate food from my diet. To be honest, my routine breakfast of an everything bagel and two scrambled eggs is what gets me up in the morning. While I may not cut certain foods out entirely, this cleanse will help me pause and really evaluate what I am eating and drinking and hopefully, at the end, I will have developed a new healthy habit to add to my routine. Also, this is my first cleanse ever, so please join me! I am looking forward to doing this with such a supportive (and hopefully forgiving) group of people. We are not perfect, but we can strive to develop healthy habits to make us feel better every day.
Still not convinced?
