About the Event
Swimming is wonderful low impact exercise for your body, however, it can also cause postural issues and other injuries through overcompensation if proper technique and movement patterns start to fall apart. Breathing in swimming is essential. You are constantly blowing bubbles when you are in the water. Allow your body to experience calmer consistent breathing patterns in the water through learning Foundation Trainings decompression breathing technique. Start to decrease tension in your shoulders, through creating space in your body, especially from your shoulders to your ears. Open up your chest and improve your posture. Feel stronger in the water as you strengthen your lat muscles as you move your body as it was intended to. It is all about alignment!
In this 45 minute theme class, Jenner will guide you through exercises that will help you feel better in the water. As a former collegiate swimmer, Jenner has practiced Foundation Training throughout her swimming career to not only prevent injuries but recover from two serious athletic injuries. There will be time at the end of class for participants to ask any questions about Foundation Training and swimming.
